Bertolli Soup and Giveaway!!!

For those of you who know me it will come as no surprise that I am a soup junkie. I could eat soup everyday and be a happy girl.

I always crave soup when the weather starts turning cold and the air is crisp. Once November rolls around I find myself making soups but sometimes the process of cutting vegetables, cooking meat and letting the pot simmer is just to time consuming and the canned options in the store just don’t cut it. I like my vegetables to be crisp and my meat to be, well, meat.

I never thought there would be a convenient soup I could find in the grocery store that would taste like something I would make at home. Thankfully I was wrong and Bertolli has developed a frozen (yes, frozen) soup that is so freakin’ good!

A couple weeks ago I was invited to an event by Bertolli to try out some of these new frozen soups.

The event was to introduce their newest product, Frozen Meal Soups for Two. Not only did I get to mingle with other area bloggers but all of us had the opportunity to meet Bertolli head Chef Michael Christiansen:

Chef Christiansen explained how the soups were made with fresh ingredients that were cooked individually and then flash frozen so that when the soups are reheated everything tastes just as good as when the soup was first made. I was impressed with how much work the Bertolli team put into making sure these soups were perfect. That the vegetables are the perfect texture and the meat is really meat!

Not only is the soup delicious. Seriously, all four of the soups are really good. But, these soups are super easy to make. Open the package, put in pan, add some water and let it cook:

After the demonstration it was time to get busy trying all the different soups. I’m honestly here to tell you each and every one of these soups were good. Really good. So good that I prefer these soups over some of the soups I’ve had in restaurants.

Bertolli offers four different soups: Chicken Minestrone, Tomato Florentine & Tortellini with Chicken, Tuscan-Style Beef & Vegetables and my favorite Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta.

Yum:

These are the perfect soups to keep in your freezer. Pull one out when you don’t have time to cook and enjoy it with a nice piece of bread and a glass of wine.
