The Best Sunday!

Watching the bears game, cleaning the apartment and having fun while I’m doing it. Who would have thought a day of cleaning would be fun. I think I enjoyed it so much because I’m finally seeing some of the payoff to the work we are putting into organizing our home.
Here is a photo of all the happy (we won!!!) Bears fans leaving downtown Chicago.
Poor Patrick had to work today (technically his day off). When he got home we started our Christmas decorating. It is our tradition to have champagne and snacks while we decorate the tree. This year we had one of my favorite champagne’s, Mionetto Prosecco Brut. This champagne is really reasonably priced and tastes great!
The snacks were Kerrygold cheese, Garlic Wheat Thins and jalapenos.
You eat them like a mini sandwich, so good:
While we munched on our snacks and drank champagne we set the ambiance with some fireplace TV:
And started decorating our tree:
Once the tree was decorated it was time for dinner. I made us a great salad:
Ingredients included:
- Mix of lettuce
- Carrots
- Black Olives
- Cabbage
- Red Onion
- Sunflower Kernels
- Celery
- Sprouts
- Light Cesar Vinaigrette
My husband made grilled swordfish and shrimp egg rolls. Loved the swordfish!
After dinner we had a night cap of champagne and watched a little TV while admiring our finished tree.
What a great Sunday this was. Check back later for the holiday photo, just might be some pictures of our newly decorated tree 🙂
