As some of you might remember I broke my Nikkor lens about a month ago.
It is time for us to purchase a new lens and we are having discussions on which lens to buy.
Do we replace the kit lens that was broken, the 18-55 mm?
Do we go in a different direction and purchase the 55 mm 1.4 lens?
Ideally I would like to have both lenses but financially its just not possible.
The 18-55mm has a 3x zoom lens, vibration reduction, auto-focus at a good price of about $200.
The 55mm lens would be perfect for low lighting photography like in restaurants. It also has auto-focus but comes with a hefty price of around $400.
What’s a girl to do?!?
Stopped at Starbucks and Potbelly’s on the way to work this morning.
In keeping with my no caffeine change I got a Skim Vanilla Steamer:
Oatmeal and peanut butter from Potbelly’s:
Love that this combination is healthy and keeps me full for a long time 🙂
I needed to do some personal work during lunch so I decided to visit Hannah’s Bretzel: Uber Sandwich Makers to take advantage of their free wifi.
After looking over the menu I decided on the Organic Turkey & Farmhouse Cheddar sandwich:
One word – Delicious!!!
This sandwich was packed with organic turkey, great tasting cheddar, apples, organic field greens and roasted pepper aioli on the BEST organic bretzel baguette.
What’s a bretzel you ask? Its pretzel bread that is soft on the inside and tastes amazing!
Everyone should check this place out. Not just for the bread but for all the fresh ingredients they use to make the Ubersandwich. They also offer soups and salads which I will be sure to try out in the near future 😉
Oh – while you are their you must check out the wall of chocolates they have for sale. I could probably live very happily in this place!
Last week Patrick cooked up some BBQ pulled pork in the crock pot. Thursday was the day I would try it out.
Pulled pork on a roll topped with mustard and pickled jalapeno:
I wasn’t sure how the flavors would work out when I saw him throwing stuff in the pot but I’m happy to say it turned out super good!
Ill have to ask him to share the recipe. It might be top secret!
What is the best sandwich you’ve ever had at a restaurant?
Mine would have to be Mr Pickles or the above sandwich from Hannah’s Bretzel (yep, it was that good!)!
Okay, so all the camera talk is completely over my head, but oh how I long for Starbucks! I miss coffee frappuccinos… stupid Australia 😛
