Groceries!!!

I never thought I would be the type of girl who would be excited over getting groceries. But, here I am so happy to finally have food in my house 😀

Mr. Peapod (grocery delivery) came to my house last night and delivered a lot of groceries. He dropped off all kinds of stuff…household stuff, personal stuff, healthy stuff and not so healthy stuff. Let’s take a look at some of the food…

Healthy Stuff:

Organic Strawberries
Cucumbers
Oatmeal
Potatoes
Egg Whites
Pineapple
Other misc. Items

Not so Healthy Stuff:

Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cadbury Eggs
Beefaroni
Other misc. Items

The key is moderation, right?!?  Just need to eat more of the healthy and less of the not so healthy 😉

I’m going to have to do a post on Peapod one of these days. They really do help with my sanity during busy times.

So let’s get on with Tuesday’s eats!!!

Breakfast

No time to prepare or grab anything to eat this morning. However, I did have a couple minutes during my commute to pick up a skim vanilla steamer.

It always amazes me how drinking milk in the morning keeps me full for so long.

Lunch

Work has been keeping me crazy busy. I didn’t think I would be able to escape for lunch but luckily one of the meetings ended early. I took advantage and grabbed a salad at Freshii around 3:00 pm.

My salad was so good and filled with lots of veggies!  Lettuce, carrots, broccoli, corn, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, parm cheese, cajun chicken breast and balsamic vinegar:

Eaten at my desk but still very tasty!

Dinner

Peapod wasn’t being delivered until after 8:00 pm so Patrick picked us up some food from Hackney’s.

I had a fantastic muffuletta burger. A burger topped with cheese and olive spread on a pretzel bun.

This was a Fat Tuesday special and I’m so glad I tried it because it was delicious!  They should really put this on the menu all the time 🙂

Question:

Have you ever had your groceries delivered?

I’ve being getting my groceries delivered more and more. As my work and home-life get busier its nice to not have to go to the store and instead spend that time doing something I enjoy 🙂
