Sunday of Firsts!

Wow, what a productive Sunday. Actually I think I said that last Sunday as well. I’m on a roll!

Laundry done, fudge made, bathroom cleaned, dishes done and dinner complete. This was a day of firsts for my husband and I.
This holiday season is the first time I made fudge. The entire time I was doing it I thought I was doing it wrong because it was just that easy to make.
The fudge ingredients.
Here is a look at the fudge before I cut it up.
For the final product I cut it into pieces, trying to help with portion control! The fudge was awesome. The flavor was rich, the texture was creamy with a little bit of crunch from the nuts.
And here is a closer look (I’m so proud of my first fudge making experience :))
mmm…I know what I will be having for dessert tonight.
Dinner

Another first during dinner time, spaghetti squash. I can’t believe it took me this long to try it. As my husband said, this is the best way to eat a vegetable. Obviously he is not a veggie fan like I am. But, I have to agree that this is one fantastic dish!

Spaghetti squash before:
Spaghetti squash after:
I served the squash with garlic and pasta sauce.

I actually can not wait to have the leftovers tomorrow.
While I was cooking the squash my husband made steaks. This was the first time we used the griddler to grill our steak. Like every other first today, it was fantastic!
Finished product:
What a successful day. I love days like this, where everything works out and I have a sense of accomplishment!
Question:
What is your favorite way to prepare Spaghetti squash?
Since I’ve only had it one way I will have to say, topped with pasta sauce.
Okay, well I’m off to grab a piece of fudge and spend time with my husband. Hope everyone had a great Sunday, just like I did!

Spaghetti squash is great! It's really good with just some butter, salt and pepper! Yum..

I love it, I grew them this summer and have about 5 left over. I used to be more creative with them when I wasn't dairy free… because I used different cheeses… but now just plain and simple is perfect!! 🙂

That fudge looks like trouble! 🙂
